Substitute Teachers Needed!

ASCS is looking for energetic and motivated substitute teachers to work with students of all grade levels from preschool to 8th grade. Official experience and/or a state teaching license is preferred, but we welcome candidates without those qualifications. All applicants must have 90 credit hours of college credit.

Substitute teachers will work in the absence of our regular teachers, aiding students in daily tasks and helping ensure the understanding of the subject matter covered. If you are a friendly, competent professional with an interest in eduction, we’d love to hear from you!

Duties and responsibilities:

• Use provided materials to attain lesson goals.
• Direct the classroom, accomplishing curriculum objectives and goals outlined in the lesson plans.
• Take attendance according to school procedures, keep classroom and work orderly, and maintain normal classroom rhythms.
• Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times.
• Maintain a professional attitude in all conduct with students, faculty, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality.
